In Islamabad, strict action will now be taken against individuals operating taxis and bikes without registration.
The Islamabad district administration has decided to officially register all online taxi and bike services. Under this system, information about all drivers and vehicles will be collected. The registration forms will allow Islamabad Police full access to this data.
It will also be mandatory for drivers to upload passenger details on the app. Drivers will not be allowed to provide rides without entering the passenger’s identification card number.
Official registration will begin from tomorrow, and a strict crackdown will be carried out against unregistered vehicles, bikes, and drivers.
