Sazgar Engineering has revealed that the Canon Alpha is likely to make its debut in Pakistan in the coming months. The company says the new model is expected to be positioned at a competitive price within GWM’s local lineup.
At PAPS 2026, Sazgar also showcased several upcoming New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) and shared plans to introduce ARCFOX, BAIC’s premium intelligent electric vehicle brand, in Pakistan. The company is still evaluating whether ARCFOX models will initially be brought in as Completely Built Units (CBUs) or produced locally through Completely Knocked Down (CKD) assembly. The final decision will depend on the upcoming automotive policy and the incentives offered under it.
Meanwhile, Sazgar is preparing a capital investment of around Rs 22 billion, which includes the development of a new paint shop. The expansion project is expected to take approximately 9 to 10 months to complete.
The company has also maintained its current vehicle prices despite the increased GST, saying it is waiting for greater clarity on the upcoming auto policy before making any pricing decisions.
