The Punjab government has introduced Pakistan’s first mobile wildlife clinic to treat injured and sick animals wherever they are found.
The clinic is equipped with portable X-ray, ultrasound, ECG, laboratory equipment, and minor surgery tools. It can also perform basic medical tests on-site.
Officials say the mobile unit will help veterinarians provide quick treatment without transporting animals, reducing stress and saving time.
The vehicle also features solar power, a backup generator, and a modern dart gun to safely treat or sedate wild animals when needed.
The mobile wildlife clinic will be used across Punjab’s zoos, safari parks, wildlife centers, and rescue operations.
