The Government of Punjab has approved a major reduction in traffic fines to provide relief to the public amid rising inflation. According to reports, the decision aims to reduce the financial burden on citizens who are already facing increasing living expenses.
Under the new policy, fines for multiple traffic violations will be lowered, benefiting especially motorcyclists and daily commuters. Authorities stated that while fines are being reduced, strict enforcement of traffic laws will continue to ensure road discipline.
Officials further added that monitoring systems will be strengthened to prevent misuse and maintain order on roads.
The decision comes at a time when inflation is on the rise, and people are struggling with day-to-day expenses. Experts believe that while this move offers short-term relief, awareness campaigns and strict implementation are necessary to control traffic violations.
