Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced plans to launch electric bus services in all 148 tehsils of Punjab to improve the province’s public transport system.
The project aims to provide better travel facilities, modernize urban transport, and help reduce pollution through eco-friendly buses. Earlier, the government had already approved electric buses for several districts including Gujranwala, Sialkot, and Sheikhupura.
Work on metro bus stations and transport infrastructure is also being expanded in cities like Faisalabad and Gujranwala to further improve mass transit services across Punjab.
