Lahore to Suspend Driving Licenses of Smoke-Emitting Vehicle Owners
Lahore Traffic Police have launched stricter anti-smog enforcement by suspending the driving licences of owners of smoke-emitting vehicles. The campaign is being carried out under the directives of the Punjab government.
Authorities will also take action against commercial vehicles involved in serious violations, while uncovered tractor-trolleys and dumpers carrying construction materials will not be allowed to enter Lahore. Legal action is also being taken against offenders.
Government departments have been directed to repair vehicles causing excessive emissions, as traffic police continue their zero-tolerance policy to reduce air pollution and improve air quality.
