Many people who booked the GWM Tank 500 in Pakistan are saying they still have not received their SUVs, even though they booked several months ago after the vehicle launched in January.
According to posts shared in public groups, some customers who booked in January are still waiting for delivery. At the same time, a few people who booked later have already received their vehicles. Some buyers also claim that dealers and investors received vehicles before early customers. These claims have not been independently confirmed.
One customer said he booked his Tank 500 on January 23, but he is still waiting, while people who booked after him have already taken delivery.
Another customer said he booked the Tank 500 PHEV before official bookings even started. However, he still hasn’t received his vehicle, even though he says some units are available at dealerships in Lahore.
Because of these complaints, many buyers are questioning whether the company is delivering vehicles according to the booking date.
Some customers also say they were asked to pay almost the full remaining amount before receiving the vehicle.
One buyer claimed he had to pay Rs. 20.3 million before delivery. He also said that if the government introduces any new taxes before the vehicle is delivered, the customer will have to pay those extra charges as well.
