The government is planning a new auto policy for 2026–31 to make cars more affordable in Pakistan. Under the proposed plan, buyers may get car loans up to Rs. 1 Crore with easier 7-year installment plans and only 15% down payment.
The policy also aims to boost car sales by lowering financing restrictions and reducing some import duties. Used car imports may become easier under proper inspection and approval rules.
The government also plans to support electric vehicles by setting up 3,000 EV charging stations across Pakistan by 2030 and continuing incentives for locally assembled EVs.
