CATL Introduces Shenxing Battery That Charges EVs from 10% to 98% in Just 6 Minutes
Chinese battery leader Contemporary Amperex Technology Co Ltd has unveiled a major leap in electric vehicle innovation with its latest Shenxing battery, raising the bar for ultra-fast charging performance.

This advanced lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery tackles one of the biggest obstacles to EV adoption—slow charging times. It even surpasses previous rapid-charging milestones set by BYD, which managed a full charge in roughly 9 minutes.
Performance in Extreme Conditions:
The Shenxing battery has also demonstrated strong reliability in severe environments. In testing at temperatures as low as -30°C, it was able to charge from 10% to 98% in about 9 minutes, highlighting its excellent thermal stability and efficiency.
