The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has imposed a fine of Rs. 11 million on Rana Filling Station in Muzaffargarh for mixing fuel and storing it illegally.
This action was taken after a media report revealed that more than 135,000 litres of petrol and diesel were being kept without permission. Lab tests later confirmed that harmful chemicals were mixed in the fuel, which was then supplied to different areas.
OGRA has cancelled the station’s license (NOC), confiscated its equipment, and directed authorities to take control of the stored fuel. The regulator has also announced action against the oil company involved and warned that strict steps will be taken against such violations.
