The Islamabad Traffic Police has introduced the “Uraan” Scooty and Motor Riding School for Women, an initiative designed to improve road safety awareness and increase independent mobility among female commuters.
The program was formally inaugurated by Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi at the ITPL Headquarters. It offers organized training sessions covering scooty riding, motorcycle handling, and basic car driving skills.
Participants will receive hands-on instruction from trained female instructors on a purpose-built driving track, with special emphasis on traffic rules, safe riding techniques, and real-world road conditions. Upon successful completion, trainees will be awarded official certification.
This initiative is expected to play a key role in empowering women across Islamabad and Rawalpindi, encouraging confidence, independence, and safer daily travel.
