ISLAMABAD: On Tuesday, the Cabinet’s Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) sanctioned a Technical Supplementary Grant amounting to Rs 2.11 billion for the purchase of bulletproof vehicles, citing urgent operational needs and security considerations.
The meeting took place at the Finance Division, chaired by Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb.
During the session, the ECC examined and approved a proposal from the Defence Division requesting a Technical Supplementary Grant for acquiring bulletproof vehicles, highlighting the operational needs and security requirements that justify the request.
The meeting saw the participation of Federal Minister for Power Sardar Awais Ahmad Leghari, Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik (joining virtually), Federal Minister for Investment Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Industries and Production Haroon Akhtar Khan, alongside federal secretaries and senior officials from the relevant ministries, divisions, and regulatory authorities.
