Citizens are now permitted to obtain their vehicle number plates from any private shop or authorized vendor.
The number plate must strictly comply with the design, font, and format approved by the Punjab government. Any plate meeting these standards will be considered legally valid.
The Traffic Police Punjab has been strictly instructed not to demand “original” government-issued number plates during vehicle inspections and not to issue fines on this basis.
