The National Highways and Motorway Police have issued over 12,990 challans for speeding violations as part of an ongoing crackdown in the Central Region.
Officials said the campaign comes after a strict zero-tolerance policy was introduced against overspeeding to improve road safety and minimize accidents.
According to details, MC-1 Lahore issued 5,641 challans for breaching the newly set speed limits. In addition, the N-5 Central Zone Lahore issued 3,597 challans during a targeted operation against traffic violations.
Spokesperson Syed Imran Ahmed stated that authorities will continue strict and indiscriminate action against traffic rule violations to ensure safer roads and reduce accidents across the region.
